Distribution line maps, 1937-1947.

Rural electrification survey maps prepared by the Work Division of the Wisconsin Emergency Relief Administration. The maps record the location of electrical distribution lines, transmission lines, generating stations, and areas served by electrical cooperatives, by county, township, and range. The maps also give locations of other features such as buildings, highways, railroads, and rivers.

In April 1934 the Wisconsin Emergency Relief Administration was established as a department of the Industrial Commission of Wisconsin (see WIHV85-A2180).
